At the Avery Research Center for African American History and Culture, we document all aspects of our community. One area that does not get much attention is the impact of romantic relationships on our people. Thus, for February 2024 and potentially later in the year, we would like to share stories and images on social media of Black love in our archival collections, and we would like for community members to share their love stories. For this initiative, at least one person in the romantic relationship needs to identify as Black. You can share your experience with your current partner or a past love.
